Mayflower 400th Anniversary Celebrated with Harwich, England Penpals
Students in 3rd grade at H.E.S. received letters from "across the pond" in Harwich, England. We learned that Harwich, England is where the Mayflower was built, and the captain of the Mayflower is from Harwich, England. This year we will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrim's journey to Provincetown, MA. We've written letters to our new pen pals sharing what we've learned about the Mayflower, and also some interesting facts about our town.
