Monday Morning Memo - Week 38
6/9/19 ....5 more days!!!!
Dear Poupard Leaders,
Send off
It is bittersweet to begin our farewell tour this week. I still can't believe we're about to put another year in the books. This is an exciting time as some of us are completing their first year in their role, first year at Poupard or first year in Grosse Pointe Schools. I have thoroughly enjoyed the teamwork we have all demonstrated this school year. I'm proud of the continued strides we made as a building and excited for the momentum leading into the 19-20 school year.
The time is here. The time to finish strong! It will be an action packed week with many celebrations of student learning including a promotion of our 5th grade class, field trips and picnics. As you know, students will be feeling that summer fever, many already have been for a week or so. Our staff will continue to provide gentle reminders, encouragement, reinforcement and close supervision.
Looking ahead to our two half days at the end of the week; my expectation for Thursday is that our staff will work our usual contractual hours. Staff members may leave Friday by 12:00 as long as they have completed all of the items on the EOY checklist and submitted the list to the office before leaving for the summer.
EOY Checklist
Similar to last year, I have attached the EOY checklist for teachers to complete prior to departing on the last day of school. Please be sure to address each bullet point so we're able to account for all necessary items.
End of Year Eval Meetings
If we haven't connected to schedule your EOY Evaluation and future goal setting meeting yet, please be sure to do so with myself or Cindy ASAP.
Please be sure to update your evaluation document with all the necessary information in green prior to our meeting (goals, reflections, student progress). During the meeting, we will analyze your student progress and set future growth goals. Please be sure to have your student data in hand for us to review.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Your Fan,
Ali

Title 1 Orders (updated)
I'm sorry to announce that our Title 1 orders were delayed due to a processing issue. The issue has been resolved and the orders will sporadically be delivered starting in the middle of may through end of June. I truly appreciate your patience in receiving these tools!
Behavior Referrals
Behavior Referrals must be completed using the Online Behavior Form. Staff must complete the behavior form anytime a student is sent down to the office for a major office referral. Homeroom Teachers and Special Area Teachers are responsible for contacting the family to notify them of any incidents that occurred inside of the classroom. Please call home over an email whenever possible. Personally, I'd recommend sharing anything over 3-4 sentences over a phone call as well.
