Responsibilities
The executive branch is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the constitution and laws passed by the legislative branch.

Governor
The Governor is the head of the Louisiana Executive Branch and he is John Bel Edwards
Requirements for Governor:
- have attained the age of 25 years
- be an elector
- have been a citizen of the United States
- have been a citizen of Louisiana for at least the preceding year
State ELected Officials
This includes the Governor and his cabinet as well as the civil service and the state department.
Civil Service
The permanent professional branches of government's administration, excluding military and judicial branches and elected politicians.
Executive Departments
The Office of the Executive Departments works with the Secretary to ensure that the policies, administration, and operations of the agency are carried through in a sound and responsible manner.
