COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SURVEY AVAILABLE TO ALL!
Webster's Board of Education and the district are surveying Webster middle and high school students, faculty, staff, and the community at large regarding the district’s strategic plan. The online Community Engagement Survey (CES) will be available for completion through Friday, March 17, by visiting websterschools.org and clicking on the link within the CES news story. Paper surveys will also be available at all 11 school buildings, the Webster Aquatic Center, Webster Recreation Center, Webster Public Library, and Penfield Public Library.
Thank you in advance for your invaluable feedback about Webster CSD. Data gathered from the CES will be shared with each building to allow for continuous evaluation of the strategic plan and its implementation throughout the district.
MARCH IS MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS AND YOUTH ART MONTH
Webster Central School District proudly joins school districts across the nation celebrating March as Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) and Youth Art Month. The musicianship and artistry of Webster’s students can be seen all year long on the stage, in art galleries, and in the classrooms of our dedicated music and fine arts faculty.
The Webster CSD community is invited to join in the celebration by attending many music and fine arts events throughout March and all year long. Please visit the district’s website, websterschools.org, Facebook page (facebook.com/WebsterCentralSchools), or follow Webster CSD on Twitter, @WCSDProud or Superintendent Gumina @superwebstercsd to check out all the ways our student musicians and visual artists are making an impact in our community with their artistry.
While you are visiting our website, be sure to click on the “Calendars” dropdown menu to view details on upcoming MISOM concerts, musicals, and fine arts events. Springtime is a season of musicals in our district. Willink Middle School just finished terrific performances of The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White last month. MIOSM will be highlighted by two musicals: Spry Middle School’s production of The Wizard of Oz, March 10-11 and Webster Schroeder High School’s production of Mary Poppins, March 30-April 1. Next up is Webster Thomas’ production of Aida, April 6-8.
While MIOSM and Youth Art Month is a month-long celebration, the impact the arts will have on Webster CSD students lasts a lifetime. The board would like to extend its thanks to all of Webster’s music and art teachers and to the Webster CSD community for their continued support of our student musicians and artists.
