Please note: there is a maximum of 2 visitors per child. Please only use ONE sign up slot per child. You will be asked how many visitors will be joining. If you make a mistake with your sign up, please email Mrs. Holt (amanda_holt@ccpsnet.net) so she can update the sign-up sheet.

Our annual Fall Book Fair is right around the corner and could use some great volunteers! Book Fair will be November 9th-16th, with a night shopping event on November 15th from 5-7pm. Please sign up at this link to volunteer!
Pumpkins are a sign autumn is here! We can cook them into a tasty morsel or carve them into a jack-o-lantern! Understanding the life cycle of a plant is very interesting. What better way to understand and grasp the concepts of the cycle and what a decaying plant gives to the earth, than with Pumpkin Jack!We read a story to all grade levels this week called Pumpkin Jack by Will Hubbell. In the library we are conducting a PUMPKIN JACK EXPERIMENT! A small pie pumpkin has been carved into Jack! All of its gooey parts and seeds are still inside of it. It is in a huge lidded jar that is sealed on a bookshelf in the library. We are going to keep a diary of its changes, and in the Spring hopefully it will sprout and can be planted into the courtyard area! Next Fall we will see what happens!

๐ข IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS:
- If you are dropping your student off in the mornings, please know that 2 orange cones will be placed in the driveway around 7:42 or 7:43 when there is a break in traffic so that we can get students to class by 7:45 when the tardy bell rings. We ask that you DO NOT drive through the cones for the safety of your child and others. If the cones are up, please drive around the front loop and park. You must walk your child into the building to receive a tardy slip. We also ask that you remain in your vehicle to allow for the line to continue to run smoothly.
- If you pick your child up in the afternoons in the car rider line, please remain in your vehicle. Staff or safety patrols will help your child into the vehicle. If you need to buckle your child, please pull forward so we can continue loading cars safely and efficiently.
