How Are We Doing?
New families - we are holding a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, November 13th at 8:00am in the media center to touch base with you to ensure we are meeting our mission. It is important to us that you and your Huskies are pleased with us, both academically and socially. This Town Hall meeting is brought to you by Battle Alley Coffee and Holly Donut Shop. We hope to see you then. Power of the Pack!
SUPPORT FOR VETERANS
In honor of our veterans, we will be having an additional dress down day on Monday, November 11, 2019. All funds collected will be donated to Wreaths Across America, a non-profit organization that organizes the wreath laying at our Veterans' cemeteries across the nation. Our monies will be used to purchase wreaths to be placed at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
This $1 dress down donation was not included in the yearly payment. Please send in $1, or more if you would like, with your child on Monday, November 11th. Additional donations may be dropped off in the office.
Thank you for helping us honor the memories of our heroes. Power of the Pack!
Dare to be remarkable!
Huskies Daring to be Remarkable
We have five students performing in "Frozen Jr." over the next two weekends! We are so proud of the talents of these young ladies! It's great to be a Husky!

Did You Know...
As we enter the cold season research indicates the following ways we can help ourselves to stay healthy:
- Add Omega 3 fatty acids (fish, plant seeds, and nuts) to your diet. Omega 3 fatty acids are natural anti-inflammatories and help lower levels of depression.
- Cook with mushrooms because mushrooms have naturally-occurring antibiotics.
- Eat more green and orange vegetables to ensure you're getting healthy nutrients.
- Cook with spices. Onions, garlic, ginger, cilantro, and turmeric help improve immune function.
Happy Number Sense November! Check out the math calendar below! I am currently looking for parents or grandparents to share with our Huskies how they use math in their jobs. If you are interested in sharing, please contact Jen Potteiger at potteigj@hollyacademy.org.
