BNEA Future Teacher Scholarship

Baylee Siemens has been selected as the recipient of the BNEA scholarship this year. Baylee will be a Senior majoring in Agriculture Education at Kansas State University next fall. Congratulations Baylee!

Bret Gillmore will be representing Buhler-NEA and the Ark-Valley Uniserv district at the NEA national representative assembly in Boston this summer. Jolene Reed is going from the RCEC group.

R.E.A.C.H Reaching to engage, affirm, challenge and honor new leaders

Audra Reed has accepted a nomination to participate in KNEA's R.E.A.C.H program which is designed to identify and develop skills of emerging leaders. Audra will be attending training in Topeka this summer. Congrats Audra.

Negotiations

The negotiations process for next years contract is about to begin. Hopefully the Legislature will act soon to fully fund public education in Kansas. Everyone needs to continue to contact their elected representatives and encourage them to pass a school finance plan.
