Where the Adventure Begins...
Happy Friday!
Dear Parents,
As we head into Thanksgiving break, I reflect on all that we have to be thankful for here at ECS. Thanksgiving is the day of expressing our gratitude for all good things that have happened to us. Gratitude could be expressed in many ways. The feeling in one's heart, our expression in words and lastly returning a favor by giving back. We hope the feelings in your heart are multiplied this holiday season as you watch the new developments of your children. May you express in words your excitement for your child and always tell them how proud you are of them. Finally, we are so grateful for your generous contributions to the one time donation fundraiser. We were able raise a little over $6000. If you weren't able to contribute at this time, we accept donations anytime.
The teachers, staff and I wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful to be apart of your child's life.

Shoot for 7:20 and 11:20!
Just a reminder to our morning session parents, school starts at 7:40 which means students should be in class by that time. In order to have your child in the building on time, please make sure you are in our car lines no later than 7:35. We begin taking children at 7:20 and 11:20 and often there are not many cars in line yet! By coming a few minutes earlier, it would get you in and out of line much faster and help us make sure we start instruction on time!
Cones will be put out at 7:40 sharp, which means you will need to park in a parking spot in front of the school and walk your child in at that time. It's always better to be a little early so our children aren't rushing in at the last minute. We also want to be sure we get a full 3 hours of instruction with our young learners to maximize their time with us. Thank you for your efforts in scooting up your morning routines by 5-10 minutes to support your child's progress! We certainly appreciate it!
Cooler Weather!
We love the cooler weather as it affords us great teachable moments with your children to develop their independence in zipping, buttoning, and being responsible for taking care of their things! We hope you support us in those efforts.
This also means our students are coming with more gear! Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for playing outside and that their name is in everything. Also, make sure the change of clothes you send for your child is appropriate for the weather. I know many send an outfit at the beginning of the year to stay here, so you may need to switch that out soon.
I want to hear from YOU!
Hey ECS Parents! I've created a new forum called The ECS Parent Place! As your child's principal, I want to make sure I keep open lines of communication with all of you! I'm hoping this will turn into a great forum where you can post questions, feedback, and praise so that I can stay better connected with you and your perspectives. I look forward to hearing from you! Just click this link and then look for the hot pink circle with the plus sign. Click on that and you're on your way! I'll keep an eye out so I can respond to your posts. Thanks!
