LaSalle Catholic’s “Sharing Our Gifts” Thanksgiving Food Drive
LaSalle Catholic will be collecting items for the Metro Catholic Outreach Food Pantry next week, November 14th-18th. The Metro Catholic Outreach Food Pantry serves many families in our community. Students are encouraged to show the many things they are thankful for next week by bringing in food items to donate to the Metro Catholic Outreach Food Pantry. The food bank is currently in need of toiletries, canned soups, pancake mix, syrup, pasta, peanut butter, and canned meats, so we have made sure to make these items the focus of our food drive. Please see the flyer in the Electronic Backpack for specific items needed. Keep in mind, any food item, including those not on the list, will be accepted and appreciated.
To add a little extra incentive and excitement for our students as they share their gifts with those in need, all students who bring in 3-5 items will earn a dress reward day on Monday, November 21st.

Two LCS Gala Requests
- The gala could use your help in a very specific way! Do you have a gift card or two that you can donate to the gala? Maybe $10 to Starbucks? Maybe $50 to a salon? If you have gift cards that you are comfortable donating to the LaSalle Catholic gala, we could use them! Please hand them to the school principal in the parking lot at drop off or at pick up, or send them into the school office with your child. Questions to Zach Zeckser at zzeckser@lasallecatholiccr.org or 319-396-7792. Thank you!
- The LaSalle Catholic Gala needs a few people with the unique willingness to ask local establishments for contributions to the gala. Mr. Zeckser has been having a blast reaching out to vendors in the area, and is also finding great success. That said, this fun task is usually carried out by a group of volunteers, and we have many partners and need a few more brave souls to make calls and emails to secure all of the donations we need. You can hand pick the places you would call, and the sooner you let us know you can help, the more likely you are to get to pick places you like! Contact Mr. Zeckser at zzeckser@lasallecatholiccr.org if interested. Thank you!
Scrip
If you're on the fence about participating in the LaSalle scrip program, think about how you can use scrip to just pay for the things that you're always going to buy, like gas! All you need is a physical card to get started. We have $25 and $50 cards in our St. Ludmila inventory and we can get one to you quickly! Once the card is registered in your RaiseRight account, you can quickly add funds to your card at any time.
For more information, email lcscrip@earthlink.net or call Paula (319) 329-6829.

We have space for 25 students and are inviting students from Regis, LaSalle, and St. Josephs. There will be an information meeting on Monday, Nov. 28th at 6:30 pm at Regis Middle School for any 7th and 8th grade student and their parents interested in learning more. Jesus came so we could have life to the fullest. Life with Him offers MORE. Because of Jesus, we can have a life of abundance. Of greatness. A life MORE fulfilling, satisfying, and remarkable than we can imagine.
A life with Christ is what we were made for.
We are God’s masterpiece, created for a purpose and destiny. Scripture is filled with Him telling us of the great works we are capable of. We were created to be more than bystanders. Christ invites us into a beautiful existence of being loved by Him and calls us to share that love with others through the unique gifts He has given each of us. He fills us up so we can overflow into the lives of others.
Join us this summer and discover MORE ways to use your gifts, experience MORE self-love, & embrace MORE of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
MORE LOVE.
MORE SERVICE.
MORE CONNECTION.
MORE HOPE.
MORE JOY.
MORE FULFILLMENT.
MORE PEACE.
WE WERE MADE FOR MORE.
MORE THAN THIS EARTHLY WORLD ASKS OF US.

Cough Drops
We have many students at the middle school that want or need cough drops. If your child is needing a cough drop for a sore throat or cough can you please send some cough drops in a bag marked with their name? I will keep them on my desk and they can come grab one when they need it. I have been buying them myself but it is becoming a bit expensive.
Thank you so much.
