What is Labor Day?
Principal's HOOT:
Hello GCA Champions!
September is upon us, and we are so excited about all the things this month holds – the start of fall, Labor Day, college football, and great weather for time outdoors! I’m excited to spend my free time this month outside with my kids playing sports and spending time together, and I hope you have plans to do something similar!
Along with the excitement of September comes the first round of Interim Assessments. Pay close attention to the policies your teachers are sharing with you, and make sure that you study a little for every class each day – it’s the best way to make sure you’re prepared and avoid last minute stress. Don’t forget to attend all of your Class Connect sessions and ask your teachers for help if you need it!
Talk to your Learning Coach – How are you going to make September a successful month?

Meet Ms. Thompson
I have enjoyed my time at GCA because I have been able to experience teaching in a whole new way. The group of teachers I work with are amazing. I have also had the pleasure of working alongside teachers in other content areas whom have also been wonderful. This job has challenged me in ways I never thought teaching could and I have enjoyed being able to work with teachers and student from all over the state.
