Superintendent's Notes
June 3, 2022
CCPS Community:
It is graduation week! While the weather caused two of our high schools to have to delay their ceremonies yesterday, we are pleased to have our graduates ready to walk across the stage tonight! We are thankful for the beautiful weather today so that each of our students, families, and school communities can enjoy the celebration of our students.
On Tuesday evening, 305 students from the Cecil County School of Technology graduated from their respective programs at a ceremony held at Rising Sun High School. A photo of the event is included below. Here are some stats about our Cecil County School of Technology seniors:
- 178 students received one or more certifications with some results still pending.
- 385 total certifications have been earned by the Class of 2022.
- 81 students completed Capstone projects in their programs of interest.
- 95% of this graduating class earned their First Aid/CPR Certification.
I wish each of our graduates the very best in their future endeavors. Congratulations!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffrey A. Lawson
Superintendent of Schools
