Happening this week...
Please check grades in Skyward and attend tutorials if you need extra help.This is the last week of the grading period and the last opportunity for many classes to improve grades.
Friday is early release. Please make arrangements accordingly. Also Monday, February 20 is a student holiday.
Intervention and enrichment is beginning in most classes as we approach the testing season. Students may log in to MobyMax.com to review and reinforce academic skills during STEAM U and at home if desired.

FabNow Conference is a great event for families who love to learn! Join us on Saturday or Sunday for sessions and and demos in the Expo Hall!

Last Week of the Six Weeks!
We will be focusing on Topographic Maps; Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition; Catastrophic Events, and Human Impacts on Environments. The review for Thursday’s exam will be available late Monday on Google Classroom.

Pre-AP Math ~ Mrs. Justice and Ms. Gregg
This is the last week of the 4th Six Weeks. Make sure all missing assignments are turned in and any failing test grade has been redone for a higher grade up to a 70.
This week students will work on writing, solving, and graphing inequalities that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We will also begin doing daily warm-ups to help spiral back in previously taught concepts.
STEAM Math ~ Mrs. Justice
This is the last week of the 4th Six Weeks. Make sure all missing assignments are turned in and any failing test grade has been redone for a higher grade up to a 70. Please make sure your child is charging their Chromebook each night so we can ensure that they have a Chromebook to use for the entire school day. This week students will work on writing, solving, and graphing inequalities that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We will also begin doing daily warm-ups to help spiral back in previously taught concepts. During Academic Lab, students will continue reviewing ratios, rates, fractions, decimals, and percents. Students have access to fun, interactive games in their Google Classroom that will help reinforce what they are learning in class.
Accelerated Math ~ Mrs. Fisher
Students will represent, write, and solve equations and inequalities with variables on both sides of the equal sign. The end of the six weeks is Friday - please have all corrections and missing assignments submitted by Thursday. **We will be taking a Mock STAAR Test on Friday! Equations and inequalities will be assessed next week.**
Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, and Mrs. Strother
- Novel test on the first half of their individual books on Monday.
- Students will begin a Middle East newspaper unit as we explore culture in this area of our world.
- Intervention will focus of figurative language this week.
Art ~ Mrs. Beam
Students will continue working on our One Point Perspective Unit. We will begin our final artworks and wrap up this unit on Friday. Save the Date! STEAM Art Show is set for March 3rd. The reception will take place from 6:00-7:30pm in the cafeteria. Each student will have an artwork framed, matted, and ready to hang for sell through Artome. Funds will benefit the STEAM Art Department. Come and see all the hard work done by our STEAM Art students this year!

Students are continuing their scales videos. Please help ensure they are practicing at home as often as possible.
Please make sure that you get your forms back for our April 25th trip. I need the forms as soon as possible and the fees by March 1st.
