We're all learning
TEACHERS: Yesterday we used our professional development time to begin preparing for creating class lists, to wrap up our Implicit Bias training and to review individual Career Development Plans. We appreciated having Superintendent Murley out to visit.

Buy One Get One Free BOOK FAIR!
We are still in need of volunteers to work the book fair. We are excited to be able to offer an excellent opportunity to Penn students and their families to purchase books at half price from Scholastic. The book fair will take place May 14th-May 16th after school until 6:00pm. To help make this a success we need volunteers to work the book fair. Please take a look to see if there is a time slot that works for you. Thank you for all you do!

Enrollment #s and class sections for next year
This is the time of year that we start planning for the fall. An important part of this process is determining the number of sections for each grade level, making class lists and assigning teachers. The number of classes we have at each grade level is determined by the number of children who are registered. So, it is critical that we have all the info possible. Please encourage everyone you know to make sure their incoming kindergartner is registered. Also, if you know of anyone moving to the area, have them call the office and share basic info (student ages/grades, address). They won’t be able to actually register until August, but it will help us now to know. And finally, if you know you are moving out of Penn, let Becky know that too. 319-688-1150
