Uniform Fittings happening this week!!
Spirit Wear Distribution info!
Spirit wear items will be distributed this week after camp ends @ 5:00pm on Thursday/Friday!
Thursday 8/1- Last names A-M
Friday 8/2- Last names N-Z
Please be patient with us as it will make the dismissal times a little longer on those days. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to help with this process!
It's FINALLY here! The season begins tomorrow!
A final reminder that if you have acclimating to the outside temperatures and hydrating the past few days then tomorrow/this week should go smoothly!
If you have not, here are some tips for tomorrow:
1. Avoid heavy/big breakfasts, especially dairy. Loading up on sugary carbs (donuts/pop tarts) and throwing back a power smoothie is a great way to help "paint" the sidelines if you catch our drift. Stick to lighter options balancing protein and good carbohydrates and you will feel better.
2. BRING PROTECTION FROM THE SUN (Hats, Sunglasses, Insulated sources of water, Sunscreen) Band tans are a thing, but sun damage can drain you if you aren't prepared.
3. Drink 3 cups of water for every Gatorade/powerade you consume. While electrolyte drinks help a lot to replenish, nothing beats high quality H2O. Too much of electrolyte drinks by themselves can almost have a dehydrating effect like sodas.
Summer Band packing list
- An INSULATED water bottle (No plastic water bottles), Camelbak systems also work well but do not count as a primary insolated water source

- Light colored shirts (must be within school dress code)
- Sunglasses and Hats
- Sunscreen 30 SPF or higher
- All flavors of instruments (Marching and Concert)

- Your best attitude and smile

Summer band Parking/Drop off
Just a friendly reminder –
Parking lot drop off/pick up diagram
No parking in the fire lane is allowed during any band pick-up, summer or school year. Please follow the line of cars around the perimeter of the marching field (in yellow) Students are to be picked up in that line on the far left of the parking-lot (where all the construction is). Please communicate to your student to look both ways before crossing the road. We want to ensure that all 200+ students and parents are safe during band pick-up.
This pick-up makes more sense when there is not construction happening in the back by the band hall. Typically, students will exit the band hall in the back and not the auditorium doors. Although we are not exiting in the back due to construction, we will still follow normal drop-off/pick-up procedures to ensure the safety of all students and individuals in the parking-lot.
We will follow this for the remainder of the camp and for summer camp in July/August.
Thank you for your support and cooperation!
