Let's Celebrate New Year's Day!
BES/BIS LINC students reflected on 2020 and began thinking about what is ahead for 2021! Students explored the traditions of New Year 's fireworks in Sydney, Australia and of dropping the ball in New York City. Students also wrote confetti wishes for 2021. Some of the wishes are shared below.
-I wish coronavirus would go away.
-I would like to live in Dallas.
-I wish for money.
-I wish for infinite candy.
-I wish for a million more wishes.
-I want to learn how to play my ukulele.
-My wish would be for everyone to stay healthy.
-I would wish for a better year than 2020.

2020 Reflections
BMS LINC Elective students reflected on 2020 as they celebrated the beginning of 2021! A few of their thoughts can be found below.
-For me, the best thing was getting closer to my siblings, thanks to being at home with them so much. I think the worst thing was not getting to go see my cousins in California.
-We finally got out of school and we didn't even like it.
-We had to quarantine and make masks a fashion statement.
Rubber Band Contest for Young Inventors
BMS LINC Elective students are busy creating their inventions for the Rubber Band Contest for Young Inventors. The contest is sponsored by the University of Akron School of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering. Each student must submit a sketch, essay, and photo in order to enter. Stay tuned to see the final products later in the year!
