Fun at Field Day

From the Desk of the Principal

Dear Lesslie Family,

As the school year comes to a close, our minds and hearts are filled to the brim. It’s been an awesome school year! We are fortunate to have a great school! Our students are second to none and our parents, grandparents and guardians are the best. Together we’ve learned much and shared experiences that will remain with us for years to come. The strength of our community and passion to make our school a place of excellence and learning for all children makes Lesslie truly a special place.

Special thanks to all of you who have contributed in ways small, large, and unbelievable! Making copies, filing, working in the media center, chaperoning on field studies, helping with school pictures, providing food and/or organizing lunches for teachers, organizing events, working at these events, showing up to support your children, serving on committees, being a monitor, sharing your talents, donating supplies and other items, brainstorming the “what ifs”…supporting our work in countless ways and providing the resources to do what we dream and know is good for children. Thanks for getting your kids to school on time each day, for kind notes of encouragement that mean so much, for sending your kids with healthy lunches obviously packed with love, for making sure homework was done. Thank you for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for your children and knowing that education is about joy, wonder and fostering curiosity, along with the development of social skills so needed to succeed. For these, and a million other things, we are truly grateful.

To those of you who are leaving for other adventures, we wish you all the best. Congratulations to our very capable rising 6th graders as you continue your academic career in middle school. Well-wishes to Mrs. Simpson as you begin your retirement! Thank you for all you’ve done for the children at Lesslie!

Remember, the first day of school is August 18th. Have a safe and fun summer and we’ll see you in August.

Office hours this summer are Monday – Thursday - 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

This will need to be a power bill, gas bill or lease agreement in your name or your spouses name. Please contact the front office if you have any questions.
The first orientation will be on Wednesday, July 8th from 9:00-5:00. The second orientation will be on Wednesday, July 29th from 10:00-6:00. You may attend either one of these sessions.
