Wilkerson Happenings

May 17th, the Wilkerson PTO is having a restaurant fund-raiser at Firenze. The PTO hosts these restaurant fund-raisers instead of asking our students to sell items like magazines, candies, and more. Please consider joining us at Firenze. The fund-raiser lasts from 12 noon to 9pm, and for this occasion, the restaurant is even letting take-out orders count towards the 10% donated to Wilkerson. Please click on the following link to see their menu.

Fifth grade overnight camp was a great experience for all. The students experienced learning by doing and they got to try many different activities, including archery and canoeing. Most importantly, they had to take care of themselves. This meant that they cleaned up after themselves in the restrooms, in the dining hall, and in their cabins. The teachers and I were very proud of them. thank you to all who helped make this happen.

As we reach the end of the year, we are required to have several meetings that explain our Title 1 and our ELL programs. These programs provide extra services to a select group of students. In our May parent meetings, we teach those in attendance the strategies that our teachers have used all year. In addition, we provide games and activities to those who attend. I hope to see you there. Please see the upcoming events list below for the dates.
