Faculty & Staff Notes
DOVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A NOTE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL:
Curriculum night went well. Thank you for all your work to prepare for the evening. If you had low attendance, please be sure to find a way to communicate the essential portions of your presentations with your families.
We have another busy week, culminating with our Back to School Picnic on Friday night. While we still have a few students we are waiting on to acclimate to school routines, all-in-all we are in full swing and should be past the "getting to know you" activities that are not directly connected to your curriculum. I'm enjoying the student work on display in classrooms and the hallways. Keep up the good work, ladies and gentlemen. The students of Dove Elementary are so fortunate to have YOU as their teachers!
I have 3 days behind me and 5 more to go for my training at Region 10. I miss being in classrooms and being a part of the day to day operations of the school. The facilitators, while knowledgable about the training topic, are not open to the use of technology during the training session. I will check my phone for urgent text messages during breaks. I have access to emails only at 11:45-1:00 and after 4:30. THANK YOU to the office crew and all who are making things run well. Jamie is communicating with me every day. If an issue needs attention while I am out of the building, please feel free to speak with her or any member of the school leadership team.
And . . . on a personal note . . . I have a contract on my house in Kentucky! (small leap into the air with glee, following by a little girl giggle) . . . Guess who's happy to be closer to being 100% Texan!!
Let's make it a great week!
Proud to be your principal,
