New Music Class

Please welcome Mr. Micah Masuno to Liholiho as our new music teacher. Mr. Masuno will be teaching classes two days a week, with each student receiving music instruction every other week. Among his goals for music classes is to teach every student the Liholiho Alma Matter: Liholiho No Ka ‘Oi!

100 Days

The Kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th day of the school year on Friday. Some fun facts about the number 100 (from Google):

1. The sum of the first nine (9) prime numbers is 100.

2. If you had $100 billion dollars, you could spend $3 million dollars a day, every day, for the next 100 years.

3. There are 100 sweat glands in one (1) square inch of skin

4. A Googol is the number 1 followed by 100 zeroes!

5. In Old Norse, the word hundrad, from which our ‘hundred’ derives, originally meant 120.

Enjoy the pictures below, and ask your children if they're 100 days smarter!

Garden Party

Last week Friday we had our Spring Aina Garden Party for grades K-2. Approximately eighty students and parents attended! Students cleared out the garden beds, created a vertical garden, painted with mud, and had a healthy snack. Thanks to all who helped make the party a success!

Scouts

The scouts have been a great partnership for the school over the past several years. Most recently, a former Liholiho student completed a sensory garden at our school for his Eagle Scout project. If you are interested in having your child(ren) join the scouts, please see the attached flyer.
