Message From The Principal
With 24 days down and 67 to go, the first semester is flying by.
The first six-week grading period comes to a close on Monday, September 30th. As always, you can access your child's grade online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Parent Portal (see link in the Import Links section below.)
There always seems to be a rush among the students to make things up at the last minute or try to cram in extra help sessions just before report cards. Please encourage your child to stay on top of their grades, make the best use of their FLEX time, beat the rush, and get any assistance they need before the marking period ends.
After report cards come out, administrators will conduct Academic Focus Meetings, where we check in with students that are in danger of failing to discuss the situation, encourage them, and attempt to direct them to the academic supports available to them. While we, as a school, recognize that our students should be increasingly independent and self-sufficient, we also want to provide them with the support, direction, and guidance to find their path towards academic success and preparedness for what comes after high school.

FMHS Pink Out
Tonight (September 20th) is the big night! Before a packed stadium, your Fort Mill High School Yellow Jackets will take on the Lugoff Elgin Demons, and everywhere you look you should see a sea of pink. Our school's efforts to do our part in the fight against cancer will be on display throughout the evening. Proceeds from our Pink Out T-Shirt sales and other fundraising efforts go towards the American Cancer Society and the NFL's A Crucial Catch campaign in the fight against cancer. Tonight's halftime ceremonies will honor "Cancer Warriors" throughout our school family. Please join us for the game and if you haven't purchased a t-shirt yet, bring your money to the game. For just $15 you can buy a Pink Out shirt to support the Jackets and a great cause.
Spirit Week 2019: September 30th-October 4th
We are just one week out from the kickoff of perhaps the biggest and wildest week of each school year: Spirit Week 2019. All week long, our students display their unparalleled school spirit and amazing creativity. From the costumes to the pep rally to the Homecoming football game, Spirit Week has become a Fort Mill High School tradition that is not to be missed.
We want all of our students to be involved, have fun, and make unforgettable memories. Below you will find a list of each day's costume theme. Also, please be sure to remind your child that while we want them to have fun, we want them to be safe and abide by the school rules. As a reminder, spirit week costumes may not include masks or face coverings, toy/replica weapons, wheeled items (scooters, skateboards, etc.), flag poles, whistles, or noisemakers. If your child has any questions about whether something is appropriate to wear or bring, please have them contact an assistant principal.
