Message from Mrs. Bradley
I am the new Early Childhood Director at Argentine Elementary. I bring 23 years of educational experience, including 12 years of early childhood experience in Genesee County. I come to LCS from Ypsilanti Community Schools, where I served as the Early Childhood Director for the last two years.
I'm excited to be closer to home and the community that I love. I've got three children who attend Fenton Schools: Mackenzie is a Junior at FHS, Cameron is in 8th grade at AGS, and Landon is in 3rd grade at North Road. Please feel free to contact me at ebradley@lindenschools.org. I'll also send out a monthly newsletter highlighting important Argentine information.
I am looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful Argentine families!

(1) Children learn through play! They learn about problem solving and improve social skills; perfect physical skills; and increase their vocabulary, math, and literacy skills.
(2) Play is healthy! Playing counteracts obesity and provides opportunities for children to develop.
(3) Play reduces stress! It provides an outlet for children to safely work through their feelings.
(4) Play is more important than meets the eye! Researchers have studied how children learn best through play and how play (particularly outdoor play) positively impacts children's health.
(5) Make time for play! By ensuring that your child has as much play time as possible, you are promoting cognitive, language, physical, social and emotional development.
(6) Play and learning go hand-in-hand! For children, play is how they learn best.
(7) Play outside! It is important that parents help their children create outdoor memories like the ones they may have had themselves as a child.
(8) There's a lot to learn about play! Check out some of NAEYC's articles and books about play.
(9) Trust your own playful instincts! Play comes naturally to children. When given the opportunity to play, they may surprise you with all they are capable of doing.
(10) Play is a child's context for learning! Play provides a safe place and time to practice and reinforce their learning; something that is not yet developmentally appropriate for them to learn through paper-pencil activities such as worksheets.
