Oak Ridge High School - November 11th, 2022

Principal Update - Shawn Almond

Good Afternoon!

There is so much for us to celebrate this week, including the Astros win in the World Series. I saw a slogan this morning saying, "Houston, city of Champions." The Astros run was an exciting time that brought the community together to cheer on their team. The same is true here at Oak Ridge. Our band and cross country runners just finished competing in state competitions. Water polo and tennis made the play-offs. Tomorrow our football team will begin their play-off journey. Our students are working hard and seeing results. This could not be done without your support. The War Eagle community is full of pride and inspiration. Let's be sure to put the Oak Ridge spirit on display by cheering loud and together for our teams and students!

I would like to say thank you to all our Veterans. Today is a time to celebrate and honor all veterans for their bravery, and love for their country. Your service and sacrifice made a difference for us today.

Students will be off November 21-25th and will return on Monday, Nov. 28th.

Have a safe and restful Thanksgiving break!
