December 2022
A message from Mr. Brown:
Hello Husky Families,
We are entering "the most wonderful time of the year!" We certainly have some exciting opportunities coming up in the next few weeks as we prepare for the Holidays and Winter Break. With all of the many exciting events that we will have during these three weeks in December, I think it is important to remind our students that every moment matters at school and even when we are excited about the upcoming break, we have to stay focused on our academic and behavioral goals for the year.
Parents, I hope you take advantage of the Book Fair, Curriculum Night, Husky University and other classroom events that will happen in the next 12 days.
I want to again say how thankful I am for each of you in this community, especially for sharing your children with us! I wish you all a safe holiday season and a happy new year.

Holiday Shop Helpers Needed!
The holidays are coming, and we want to help make the season even more memorable for your children by allowing them to shop (in secret!) for the perfect Mom, Dad, Grandparents, siblings, and other important people or pets in their life. We'll be holding our annual holiday shop from December 5-9, 2022 during school hours.
We need many shopping/budget assistants for this special holiday event, so please consider joining us. It's truly one of the nicest holiday experiences to help our students enjoy this season of giving!

Opportunity to get involved!
An opportunity for our CSES Families!
We are excited to involve our families in lowering our flags in the afternoons. Families who can participate would commit to one week during the remainder of the 22-23 school year.
Should this be something you can do, instead of waiting in the car line during your family’s assigned week, you will park your car and report to the office. Your child will meet you in the office as car riders are dismissed. Your child would then pick up the bag that stores our flags. You and your child will take down the flags from our flag poles and fold them. Assistance will be available with the folding of the flags. After placing the flags in the storage bag, you will return the flags to the office.
If you are interested, please complete this form.
Do you know of a veteran or service member who would love to assist with teaching our families how to fold our American Flag? Please have him/her complete the following Volunteer Approval Link.
