Dear Rayburn Parents,

I am so proud of the successful transition back to in person learning that our Rayburn community has supported us with. Everyone has been extremely cautious. Your diligence and communication has been key in making face to face learning such a positive and safe experience. I am very proud of our students that continue with remote learning as they sign in daily and participate in all lessons. The best gift we can give one another is taking personal responsibility in our hygienic practices such as social distancing, wearing a mask and keeping our hands and areas clean. We continue to reinforce these practices daily and our students are doing such a remarkable job of making these daily habits. As we break for the holidays we want to continue to communicate the importance of these habits and we ask that families continue to have open communication with our school nurse regarding any health concerns.

This month will bring our first reading benchmark for students in 3rd-5th grades. We ask that students do their best and please know that this one exam will be used to direct student intervention and groups so our academic practices are targeted toward student growth. We would like to invite all parents to our parent meetings and we are also giving the gift of our 2nd annual parent math camp. Please join us to learn how to support your child at home with our ever evolving math strategies. In light of the holidays we have included a festive calendar for all, please see below.
