General Membership
Become a member of FCCLA and join in the fun! General membership allows you to choose how much you want to be involved in our chapter - no obligations to competition and/or travel.
Competition: S.T.A.R. Events
Get involved in the competitive aspect of FCCLA! Members of FCCLA can compete in S.T.A.R. events (Students Taking Action for Recognition) in a wide variety of categories: cooking, fashion and design, chapter projects and community service are just a few!
LEARN & TRAVEL
FCCLA members are always on the go and learning new things to become the best leader and competitor. Take part in team training to get a headstart in competition and interact with other FCCLA members from around the state! Travel to a Cluster Meeting and listen to inspiring speakers, travel with your chapter and grow with members from around the nation! Every year, members have the opportunity to compete in the S.T.A.R. Events regional, state and national competitions! The 2013 year brought students to Galesville, WI, Wisconsin Dells, WI and Nashville, TN!
Chapter accomplishments and involvement
In the community
Holmen FCCLA helped the community in numerous ways this year! Our chapter made holiday desserts and goodies for local nursing homes, made pies for a community Thanksgiving in La Crosse, WI, and so much more! Certain individuals also created an anti-bullying video, raised money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital of La Crosse and held a women's empowerment day called "It's A Girl Thing" at our very own Holmen High School!
Competition
We brought 17 students to our regional competition in Galesville, WI and our state competition in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Students competed in the areas of National Programs in Action, Food Creations, Chapter Service Project Display and Chapter Showcase Display. From there, we have 5 competitors that will be competing in the National Competition in Nashville, Tennessee this summer!
