Also, please remember that the school medication policy requires that parents supply a new doctor’s order and parental medication consent form at the beginning of every school year. Medications will not be dispensed without both forms. This includes asthma inhalers and Epi Pens.
Please contact Sue Baumes, school nurse, with any questions.
Summer Reading
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Happy summer! We hope that you have an enjoyable and fun summer and that your children will continue to read throughout the summer. They have worked so hard this year and are ending the school year as stronger readers and writers. In order to support their year long success and hard work, it is important for them to keep practicing by reading and writing on a daily basis.
This summer, we are asking that every incoming 1st and 2nd grade student complete the attached log to show us all of the great reading that they do over the summer. Each of the 50 lines on the log represents 15 minutes of reading, so each time your child reads for 15 minutes, or is read to by an adult, have him/her simply write down ONE title of a book that was read during that time. Your child is encouraged to read books of his/her choosing over the summer, and to read from a variety of titles and genres, but if you would like some suggested titles or links to e-books, please see the next page.
In the fall, each first and second grade student will be expected to return the completed log. For completing their summer reading, they will be rewarded with a raffle ticket and a chance to win some great prizes, such as gift cards to local stores or a basket full of goodies. Your child also has the opportunity to complete additional summer reading activities, which are attached, and to increase the number of raffle tickets earned, so be sure to encourage lots and lots of reading! Another great way to encourage summer reading and to earn additional tickets is by visiting your school library this summer. That’s right, the library will be open a few days over the summer and your child will be able to borrow books! Stay tuned for more information regarding the dates and times.
Thank you for your support at home and happy reading!
Sincerely,

end of year residency changes
You must update any changes in residency status or address with our Administrative Offices at the Education Center, not at the building level. Contact Administration at 610-579-7300 if you need a Change of Address Form and/or if you have questions regarding what is accepted as proof of new address. Note: ALL change of address paperwork requires 2 proofs of residence.
If you are moving out of district over the summer, you must fill out withdraw paperwork which is also available in our Main Office or at Administration.
Finally, if your Proof of Residence expires over the summer, your Alma access and start of the school year information will be held until residency is updated.
