St. Louis School
Letter Nn Week
Letter Nn launched us into Nursery Rhymes, as our Rhyme Time theme unfolded. Rhymes are wonderful teachers helping children learn how language works. Familiar stories, such as Nursery Rhymes, are a wonderful way for children to anticipate what's next as well as phonological awareness helping to build foundational Pre-Reading skills
Remember, just like so many other skills, rhyming is a developmental skill, that develops over time. Our introduction today, will hopefully inspire playful exploration as you read and grow together with your sweet children.
Thank you Mrs. Salatin!
We laughed ourselves silly, as Mrs. Salatin read to us the Wonkey Donkey. It truly was a hoot and the children were still talking about it long after.
Remember you can still sign-up to be a Guest Reader in our Early Learner class if you haven't already. Please refer to Sign-up Genius or contact us if you are interested.

Jason Kaiser is a Star Student
On Wednesday, we were so excited to learn about Jasons' family. Jason is a part of the Kaiser family and it was easy to see how loving they are from the picture he shared with us.
We were so grateful to welcome Mrs. Kaiser to our classroom on Friday to be a read with us and we feel so fortunate to have Jason as a part of our class. It would not be the same without him!!
Frank Meer is a Star Student
For minute, Frank was delighted to tell us about his family of 4, but then he remembered his other brothers and quickly corrected it to, 7 in his family. We learned that Frank is the youngest but will not be for long! A new baby, coming soon will make Frank a big brother. We voted on whether we thought the baby would be a boy or a girl.
Great news Mrs. Meer we think it's a boy!
On Friday we had the chance to see a sweet picture of the Meer family and Frank invited his mom to be read with us a really neat book with us. Thank you Mrs. Meer.
