Feedback from thinking...

Here are some thoughts from your teammates about last week's thinking topic...

(used with permission)

From Bethany....

Ask better questions. One of the most worthless questions to ask a friend or co-worker is "How do you think I did?" because you'll never get any constructive feedback. A much better question is, "What could I have done differently to make it better?"

I want to do this not only with my co-workers and other grown-ups but with the kids in my life also. I am always reflecting on how I can improve relationships and instruction with my class but this made me think I should seek their feedback also. Asking them how I can improve will be a great model for them to reflect on their own work and effort and will show them that they matter!

From Sam...

I think explaining why we do what we do is very important. Explaining why helps alleviate any questions others may have and allows for more clarification. Sometimes I think people do things without any purpose behind it and when that happens I believe it leads to a lack of passion. I think the parents really benefit from the reasons why as well!

News from Natalie

If you haven’t had the chance to watch the kindergarten problem solving video on google classroom, please do so! Also, please add a quick comment to the bottom in reflection. ELAR peeps - this includes you guys as well! Thanks for all the work you guys do to support learning here at Norris!
