A Note from Mrs. Phillips

Dear Charles Families:

Welcome to a new month! The weather has a chill in the air that makes it feel like a childhood school morning! Please be mindful of the current weather and try to dress your child in layers. Sometimes our air-handler goes down and it becomes extremely hot in certain classrooms. Other times it feels like cold air is blowing in from the artic! It is a struggle we deal with on a daily basis but having kids in layers will help address the air temp no matter how hot or cold. We will continue to take students outside until it's below freezing.

Reminder: School starts at 7:50. Students should be in their seats and ready to learn. We have had an uptick of tardies this past week. Breakfast is now served in the classroom and we really want our students eating and beginning their day in a "family" type atmosphere. Starting their day in a rush to get in the door and to finish breakfast does not set their day up for success. Thank you for getting here a bit earlier if you've been running late.

If your student will be missing school, please always call 973-3441. During this pandemic time, we need to make sure we understand why your student it out. If he/she has a doctors note, please return with your child upon their return. Thank you for notifying us of any absences, it helps us keep our records up to date and accurate.

Upcoming Dates:

As always, I'm here if you need anything. I try my best to put things out there on Dojo and Social Media. If there is anything else I can do better, please let me know. You can send a personal message via Dojo, Facebook or Twitter. You may also email me or call the office. That information is found below. Have a great month Chargers!

Be kind, be amazing, and be YOU!
