Help Us Adopt

"I'll kneel down, know my ground; I will wait for you."

Our Story

Every marriage has a love story, but ours is our favorite. It's not one of pure perfection, "love at first sight," or days without rain. In fact, we often wonder if we are on a hidden camera show in which the crew anxiously awaits a meltdown and total relinquishment of patience. Twelve years later, we are still here (and positive we're going to win a million dollars for not reaching our boiling point). If we could describe our marriage in one word it would surely be "adventuresome" in every sense of the word. There have been many, many mountains: traveling all over the nation, celebrating anniversaries, spending Christmas in New York, and our recent move to a city we love.

But with every mountain there must be a valley.

We made the decision to become parents in 2005. We struggled privately with infertility for six years before admitting we needed some help. There are complications that yield an extremely low chance of ever having biological children. This has not been easy, but we simply view it as a plan for our life that is different from the norm. On May 12, 2012, we surrendered to the call to adopt. Two failed adoption attempts later, we are asking for your help.

If you know someone who is considering adoption, will you please consider referring us? Why us? I couldn't say for certain or humbly what would qualify us for parenthood, except this: there is a lot of love in our home, Anyone that knows us will attest to that. We have childlike hearts; our home is also filled with much joy. More than anything, we love God and would strive for our children to know God, foster that relationship, and view themselves as children of God.

We are fairly open when it comes to adoption. No race or gender is off limits. We only want to give a child all of the love he or she deserves.
