Field Trip This Wednesday!!
We are going to Ticonderoga Farms on Wednesday, October 19th. Our rain date is Wednesday, October 26th. The cost for this field trip is $15.00. All permission forms and money are now over due.
Each class has chosen 5 parent chaperones through lotteries. Thank you for all of the volunteers! If your name was chosen, please come to school with your child on Wednesday morning. If you cannot come, please notify us within 24 hours so that we may find a replacement for you. On the day of the field trip, we will leave the school at 9:30am and return at 1:30pm. Our rain date is October 26th. http://www.ticonderoga.com/
On the day of the trip please be sure to have your child at school on time. We will leave promptly at 9:30 a.m. and plan to return by 1:30 p.m. Every child must ride on the buses. Parents may not drive their children to or from the field trip. If you want to pick your child up early from school that day, you must wait until we return and sign them out through the front office.
The children are allowed to wear blue jeans with a Pennington Spirit-wear Shirt or a Uniform Shirt (Not casual wear). Please be sure your child is dressed in layers. This will allow for any changes in the weather.
Lunches must be “all disposable” (no lunch boxes). Write your child's name on their lunch and water bottles. Please, include two drinks. Send in a separate snack for when we return to school. Bag lunches can be ordered from the school lunchroom. Please, let us know by Tuesday, October 18th if you want a school lunch and we will see that the bag lunch is ordered and ready for the Field Trip.

October Poem
by, Geoff Mihalenko
Two pumpkins in a pumpkin patch
Argued and debated,
Which one of them deserved to be
Carved and decorated.
The first pumpkin to speak his mind
Was tall and rather thin.
He said, "I'd look so handsome
With a splendid toothy grin."
The second pumpkin who spoke up
Was round and large in size.
He said, "I'd be quite fearsome
With a pair of scary eyes."
Then someone came and bought them both
And much to their surprises
Instead of carving two faces,
She baked two pumpkin pies!
