Student Dismissal
This is just a reminder that if your child's mode of transportation changes at anytime, please notify his/her teacher via ClassDojo, email, text, written note or call the office. Recently, we've had a lot of students coming in saying they are going home another way, but we haven't received communication from you. If we do not receive any communication from you, the parent or guardian, your child will be sent home the way they normally go home. Also, if you need to pick up your child early for any reason, please make sure that you do so before 2:50 PM. Your child's safety is our number one priority!

What Are We Learning About?
ELA:
In reading, we will be wrapping up our Weather Wonders unit. Students will be using what they have learned about how the weather affects people's lives and the choices they make to write an imaginary narrative about how the weather on a particular day affected what a person wore or did.
Math:
In math, students will continue to compare sets of 10 or fewer and describe the sets as having more, fewer, or the same. Throughout this student, students will practice writing, recognizing, and representing numbers up to 20. Students will recognize and describe part-whole (2 and 3 makes 5) relationships for numbers up to 5.
Science:
In science, the students will learn about the role, flow, states, and the many uses of water. Kindergartners will learn that water is a basic need for living things’ survival, it can change form, it flows downward, it is a natural and renewable resource.
Social Studies:
In social studies, the students will understand the difference between maps and globes and describe and identify places and objects in a familiar area based on their location by using basic symbols on a map legend. Students will discover how to recognize and read maps and globes and the difference between the two. Then they will learn to describe places referenced in historical events, stories, and real life situations, locate land and water features, and identify map symbols in a map legend.MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
