Vaccine Boosters in Accordance with CDC GuidanceCOVID-19 Vaccine booster shots are available for the following Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago and are:
| Illinois State Mandate We are three weeks into the Governor's Executive Order to be vaccinated or participate in weekly testing. If you are participating in weekly testing and you miss you testing appointment with your buildings nurse on Wednesdays from 2-4, you must get a test outside in the community and submit results to the nurse, and myself, by Friday night of that week. The tests have to be monitored weekly and a report is made every Monday of who tested and who didn't. There are disciplinary actions taken when the tests aren't completed each week. Please contact HR for questions on this subject. | 3 W's It's been awhile since I have reinforced the 3 W's on an update!! Again, these mitigations are tried and true in preventing the spread of infection.

- 65 years and older
- Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
- Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
- Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
- Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings

3 W's
The CDC just completed a research project on two big cities in Arizona. It compared Covid rates among masked students and staff vs. schools that didn't follow masking.
In the unmasked schools Covid spread at 3.7 times of a higher rate!
Please wash your hands, watch your distance and wear your masks.
District 6 Protocols
- 3-feet social distancing recommended at meetings, in work spaces, and in the break rooms.
- Universal Mask Wearing among all staff in district buildings at all times, despite vaccination status. The only time you can de-mask is if you are in an office alone with the door closed, eating or drinking, or outside.
- If you are an unvaccinated close contact to a Covid positive person at work and opted into the BinaxNOW testing program, you can continue to work and receive a Covid test by your buildings staff designated nurse on Day 1, 3, 5, and 7 as long as you remain symptom free.
- If you are an unvaccinated close contact to a Covid positive person at home you must complete a 10 day quarantine.
- Vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine if a close contact.
- If you contract Covid, please isolate for 10 days from the start of your symptoms OR if asymptomatic, your test date. Please let your building administrator and the district nurse know right away so contact tracing can be initiated.
- If you are symptomatic with any of the below symptoms, you must stay home and get a negative Covid test to return, despite vaccination status
- If you are unvaccinated and any of your household members are symptomatic with any of the below symptoms, you must stay home. The symptomatic person must either get a negative Covid test result or a doctors note clearing them of Covid. (The district requires a Covid test result or doctors note within 3 days time unless there is an exceptional reason. Please submit to HR and to your buildings designated staff nurse)
- Please DO NOT come to work with any of the below symptoms.
o Fever over 100.4
o Cough
o Shortness of Breath
o New Loss of Taste or Smell
o Body Aches
o Sore Throat
o Vomiting
o Diarrhea
