From the Principal's Desk

Hello Waterford Community -


It certainly has been an exciting week here at the school. As a follow-up to Monday's events - I want to commend every student and staff for how quickly and calmly they evacuated the building and waited patiently for the 'all clear' before coming inside. Events like that are exactly why we practice our evacuation procedures every single month. Kudos to everyone for a great job!


Teacher Appreciation Week - we accidently advertised Teacher Appreciation Week for next week - when it will actually be the week of May 8. Information will come home next week from the PTO.

Parental Input for 2023-2024 School Year

Planning for next school year is well under way. The purpose of this form is for you to provide useful information for next year's teacher and to help us in making placement decisions for next year's classes.

Please be aware that information shared in this form will be seen by various staff members involved in placement decisions at Waterford Elementary. If you have confidential concerns, please contact Mr. Heironimus at andrew.heironimus@lcps.org

LOST and FOUND - Deadline May 19

Many items have been in our lost and found for a few months. We will move the racks to the front foyer on May 12 - and then on May 19 everything that is left will be donated. Please check to make sure you have your child's coats/jackets/sweatshirts.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Pre-Registration is currently under way. Any student that lives in the Waterford Elementary attendance zone and will be 5 by 9/30/2023 is eligible to register for Kindergarten. If you have a child who will be in Kindergarten next year (or know a neighbor/friend who does) - please go to http://register.lcps.org to begin the pre-registration process. Parents with students currently enrolled in LCPS can use their ParentVUE credentials - new parents will be directed to create a new account.
