Name on Jacket/clothes

Many jackets and items of clothes are being worn and removed during recess and gym class. We will try to return the clothes to the child if their name is somewhere on the article of clothing. Place their name on their lunch box too!

report cards

We delayed report cards a few days to catch up on the days we missed in person on grading and assessments. Report cards will go home with students afterschool on Tuesday. Virtual students can make arrangements to have report cards sent by email or seesaw. You can always check grades through Skyward.

Car Rider Drop Off Line

Classes start at 7:45 each day. Teachers will start the announcements with the pledge, lunch menu, school activities, positive behavior recognition, and birthday shout-outs at this time. We open up our building at 7:00 am for those get their breakfast early enough to start class on time. Any student that arrives to class after 7:45 will be marked tardy to the class. I encourage every parent or guardian to prepare your child for success each day by teaching them the importance of being on time and prepared.

Our busiest time in the drop off line is from 7:25 to 7:45. Use the time waiting in line to make sure they have their backpack ready, mask out and on, and anything they may need for school set to go with them. Say your farewell and love you when coming up to the drop off area. I certainly do not want to take away or make your love for your child any less recognized. I want to make the line as fluid and easy going as possible. I imagine it feels like you are in rush hour traffic and every little detail is magnified 10 fold.

Students that show up early are not all bored. They can manage their time with books, have conversations with classmates, and make up work for the teacher. It is a great opportunity to learn and practice patience.

Parent-Teacher conferences November 2nd from 8-4

All of our conferences this year will be held over Zoom conference calls. Make arrangements with your teacher to schedule a time. Let the teacher know ahead of time if you need to have the counselor, specials teacher, special education teacher, academic specialist, or principal join the meeting.

We had our annual candy bar sales this year. We raised a little over $2500. Considering this is a different kind of year I'd say we did ok. We normally make around $8000 with this fundraiser. This money is used to help pay for the $11,000 spent in a school year on copies and copy supplies. We have a ways to go to meet our goal.
