January 2014

E-Town Scoop

Happy January!

Welcome to 2014 E-Town Team! I am super excited to see what God is going to do in and through us this year in our personal lives and in our ministries here at Eastridge! It has been such a blessing getting to know each one of you, and I am incredibly thankful for your servant's hearts, your willing attitudes, and your (lots of) patience as I watch you interact with the children we serve in E-Town. Our God, Who sees every interaction and knows the heart's intent, will be faithful in 2014 (and in years to come) to bless our efforts and grow the Gospel seeds that have been planted for His glory. Thanks so much for what you do!

This month in E-Town!

A few reminders, some news, and a prayer request...

1. I wanted to remind everyone of the sermon podcasts that are available on the church website. I have gotten in the habit of watching the sermon on Mondays. It's a great way to stay in the "big-church" loop while you are ministering in E-Town.

Here's the link:

2. We are planning on relocating E-Town to the hallway beside the cafeteria the first week in February - so don't panic if you walk in to church one day and E-Town is not in the middle of the atrium! :) I hope that it will be equally fun but a bit more secure an environment. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to ask! :)

3. Plans are in the works for a SWAT Lock-In! I have planned and directed week-long, overnight camps for the past 12 years and am super excited about planning a SWAT "retreat" for sometime in early March (either the weekend of the 8th or the 15th) so check your calendars, because this will require some folks! Not every adult will need to spend the night, but it would be a blessing for you to pop in to hang out with the kiddos for a bit! More on this to come!

4. Lastly, I would like to ask you to join me in asking our Father to add to our team. We have a FANTASTICAL team! Sunday mornings are a BLAST, you guys are AWESOME, and the kids are SUPER enjoying it, but there are a few ministry positions that if added would enhance the E-Town experience and efficacy. For example, I would love to have an adult helper in SWAT each week to assist the teacher, another small group leader per week, and another welcome/check-in person to alternate with Sandy (so she can actually enjoy an entire "big-church" service) :)

Thanks for joining me in prayer! And if you know anyone who is looking to plug in and make an eternal difference for the Kingdom (and is super fun like you guys!), send them my way or give me their name and I will contact them. THANKS!

Big News!

Free coffee for all who serve on Sunday mornings starting in February!

Praying for you guys! Have a WONDERMOUS week! :)
