A Note from Mrs. Cockrell
Hello, Chisholm Trail families!
We have much to be thankful for this week! I am thankful for the opportunity we have to partner with you as we educate your young scholars. We had a great parent meeting last week and I look forward to hearing from more of you this week. Please read the meeting information in this newsletter and click on the survey to provide your thoughts on how we can improve our partnership. Your input is always appreciated. If you have trouble with the survey, feel free to email or drop a note by the office with your ideas.
Please remember you will need to show your ID anytime you are on campus during school hours or are checking out your student. When on campus, please wear the ID sticker at shoulder level where it is visible to all staff. We appreciate all you do to help us keep our children safe.

Turkey Feathers!
Your child may give his or her feathers to a staff member of his or her choice. The staff members who have the most feathers at the end of the week will be awarded a prize. This is always a fun way to encourage generosity and gratitude.
November Employee of the Month
Her excitement for learning and her positive outlook make it easy for her to engage her young scholars in the task of learning. She has taught at Chisholm for 2 years.
She has been married to her husband, Robert, for 18 years. She has 2 children; Ava is 13 and Ethan is 9. Ava loves playing volleyball and Ethan football. They enjoy watching movies together and having family board game nights.
She grew up in Sanger and was the first kindergarten class at CTE in 1986. Both of her children have gone through CTE, so it holds a very special place in her heart. She says she works with the best teachers, paras, and administrators. She loves the culture and climate at CTE and could not imagine herself teaching anywhere else.
She loves to read books while relaxing at home. She also loves watching football on TV and roots for the Cowboys! Her favorite thing to do is try new restaurants and watch both of her children play the sports that they love.
We are blessed to have Mrs. Grant on our team at Chisholm Trail!
Apples for the Students
We are also saving Super Save receipts as part of Apples for Students from September 1 thru March. Any time you buy something at Super Save, save your receipt and send it to school with your student. This program also earns $$ for our campus to put right back into our classrooms.
