Game On! Let's Create Champions!
Rhythm and Momentum
Take a look at the video below of the PAC-12 rowing team. There are so many nuggets of wisdom in this video on working as a team to reach a goal. We have heard Dr. Rick Dufour in this video explain to us the difference between a group and a team. In this video by Jon Gordon, he also shares about the importance of a team.
What do all of these videos have in common? All of the videos essentially say that teams are required to be interdependent in order to reach their goals.
After you have reviewed these videos, take a moment to reflect on how you are contributing to our school team, your grade level team, and classroom team to help keep an effective rhythm and momentum.
We cannot change lives alone, nor should we even try to do it alone. We are surrounded by talented people who are all working towards a common goal. As you are working hard all week, take time to celebrate and thank the family/village/team that is 'rowing' by your side.
Have a great week!

Awards Banquet!
The District’s 35th Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet is set for Friday, April 17 at the Hyatt Regency at DFW Airport. This is a special night to recognize our retirees, years of service employees, employees and teachers of the year, and more. I want to encourage you to think about worthy nominees and submit their names for consideration for recognition.
More information can be found in the nomination form here.
I want to encourage each of you to take some time to nominate people from our campus. Each of you work so hard to change the lives of our kids. The more people nominating someone...the better chance they have to be selected by the District.
I am making a commitment to nominate someone for each category because I think you all deserve this recognition.
