REMINDER NOTICE...New Dismissal Procedures

Just a reminder that our new dismissal procedures will begin on Monday, January 4th. Here is some information that you may find helpful:

The following is a message for parents of students who are walkers or parent pick-ups. Starting in the new year, we will be having a new dismissal procedure. It is important for you to have a discussion with your child about whether they are a walker or a car rider.

Walkers- walkers are those students who physically walk home by themselves, with a friend, or with their parents. These children will be released out the B-wing doors to walk to the crossing guard that stands on Heights Lane between Ferderbar and Poquessing, or they will walk around Poquessing to walk across the street on Poquessing Way. Walkers can also be released out the cafeteria doors to cross at Heights and Central or walk around the back of Ferderbar to the neighborhood behind us. These students will be released first at 3:25 PM.

Car Riders - Car riders are students who get picked up by a parent and are driven off the property. These parents will be lining up in front of the school, staying with their cars. Your child/children will come to you, entering on the passenger side door as the parents move up along the front of the building. These children will be released out the A-wing doors at around 3:28 PM.

If you also have a kindergarten child; then your pick up procedure will be the same as before. Your older children will come to you.

Parents will not be able to park in the Ferderbar lot to pick up children.

Arrival procedures will stay the same.

If you have friends or neighbors who you know may not read our newsletter-please share this information. We are hoping to make this transition as smooth as possible for all.
