Snorkelling
information
what is Snorkelling
it is the practice of swimming on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped tube called a snokel , and usually fins.
dangers
some of the dangers are : hitting a boat, jetskies, coral getting bit by a posionous fish or creature.
underwater science
Ear clearing or clearing the ears is any of various maneuvers to equalize the pressure in the middle ear with the outside pressure, by letting air enter along the Eustachian tubes, as this does not always happen automatically when the pressure in the middle ear is lower than the outside pressure.
If you don't wear enough weight, you will be "positively buoyant" and find that it is difficult or impossible to dive underwater. You can't sink or dive if you are positively buoyant.
If you wear too much weight you will be "negatively buoyant" which will make it a struggle for you to swim and rest easily on the surface.
getting in and out of the water
dont get in the water by jumping, diving or belly flopping. Get in by sliding in slowly and know the depth of the water when getting in.
finning
it is simply imitaing the motion of a fishs fins with the hands and wrist, more a padding or pushing motion in the water.
planning
plan routes before snorkelling incase you get in danger and always plan ahead before going.
first aid
your instructer must hve a first aid kit on them when in the water and you must know how to get them out of the water right if something is wrong. and must know CPR.
