Covington Place Newsletter
October 16, 2016 - For Residents of Covington Place
SAFE HALLOWEEN 2016 UPDATE
HOURS ARE SET: 6:00 to 9:00pm
NOTICE: ADDITIONAL HELP IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO FINALIZE OUR SAFETY PLANS
So far, no one has responded to the plea for assistance that was placed in last week's Newsletter. We are at the point that we MUST have additional assistance in order to provide a safe environment on Halloween evening for our children and those children who will be visiting our neighborhood. If we do not receive additional help from both Adults and Teenagers to assist with traffic, we will not be able to offer the high level of service that we have in the past.
.
PLEASE CONSIDER STEPPING FORWARD AND VOLUNTEERING TO HELP OUT!
.
Our Safe Halloween will be coordinated this year by Susann Shriver and the final planning is being put into place. Here are the current needs:.
We need 2 more high school boys (junior/senior) who want to make some extra $$ to move the barricades rather than homeowner volunteers. Each one would work the entire session at a single location. And they would be required to have a cell phone on them that is charged and willing to give Susann their phone number. Any help would be appreciated.
.
We need at least 2 to 4 more adults to help out with parking control: 1 or 2 more at the Pool Parking Lot and 1 or 2 more in Eagles Pointe. You would be helping to direct traffic in/out of the parking lots and helping to make sure that no drivers head in a direction that is not allowed.
.
In order to accommodate this being a school night and the City having a 9:30pm curfew for ages under 16, the hours have been set as 6:00-9:00pm.
.
We will be assisted by officers from the Covington Police Department just like in the past but we need additional volunteers to help on our side as well in order to make this a success.
.
If you have a high school son you'd like to volunteer to work or you are an adult who can help us out, please contact Susann via FB Messenger (Susann Heath Shriver) or shriverdawg@gmail.com as soon as possible. WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!

.
If you need a Visitor Parking Pass Template, please sign in to HOA Butler and print it from Community Documents and Information.
GREEN VEHICLE STICKERS - IT'S ALL ABOUT NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY!
If you do not have a Green Vehicle Sticker on each of your vehicles, please send an email to l_seabolt@hotmail.com providing your Name, Street Address, and the Number of Vehicles you have and they will be delivered to your mailbox.
If you would like a sticker for your golf cart too, please make that request as this is a great idea since many residents drive their golf carts to the pool.
