Panther volleyball

Panther volleyball was back in action this week with 4 games. On Tuesday, the panthers hosted the Chisholm Trail Rangers.


Varsity won in straight sets 25-23, 25-15, 25-18.

Morgan Howard had 32 assists, 6 digs and 2 kills.

Parker Adkins had 11 kills and 7 digs.

Ella Busey had 9 kills and 6 digs.

Jori Wallace had 6 kills, 3 blocks and 2 aces.

Lindsey Houran had 14 digs and 6 aces.


JV won in straight sets 25-11, 25-14


Freshman won in straight sets 25-18, 25-18.


On Friday the panthers were on the road to Keller Central to play matches against L.D. Bell and Keller Central.


Varsity defeated L.D. Bell 25-13, 25-23, 25-16 and defeated Keller Central 25-12, 25-16, 25-21. Way to go panthers!


Ella Busey had 21 kills and 4 blocks.

Madelyn Hanlon had 17 kills and 25 digs.

Parker Adkins had 12 kills and 17 digs.

Lindsey Houran had 24 digs and 5 aces.

Morgan Howard had 61 assists and 16 digs.

Keller Central 17-25, 24-26


Freshman Red wins:

L.D. Bell 25-23, 25-22

Keller Central 25-27, 31-29, 27-25


Freshman Black splits:

L.D. Bell 25-22, 25-18

Our final game of the week was Saturday when the panthers hosted the Keller Indians.


Varsity lost the first game, but came back with some fight in the second game and won. The third and fourth games were close, but the panthers couldn't quite come up with the win.


JV lost the first game, but stayed ahead the whole time in the second game and won. The third game was back and forth, but the indians narrowly won at the end.


Freshman fought hard against a good Keller team and came up short.


We are proud of you panthers!

CHHS cross country teams

Congrats to the cross country teams for their performances at the Timber Creek Invitational this weekend.


Allie Love won her 3rd race in a row and the varsity girls took second place with Felisa Saheib, Cambria Keith, Claire Compher, and Jaclyn Turner all finishing in the top 10!


The JV Boys also finished runner up with Patrick Bullock, Carson Pescatello, Kendall Boyd, George Witman, and Donovan Cox all finishing in the top 10.


The JV Girls were 4th with Scarlett Reed, and Kirsten Dalton finishing in the top 10.


The Varsity Boys were 5th with Erik Rangel finishing in the top 20.

Panther tennis

Panther tennis played three matches last week. On Wednesday, Varsity defeated district rivals Richland 14-5. MVP of the match was Mili Trivedi, she won her doubles match with Sarah Halai 8-0. She also won her singles match without dropping a game, 6-0, 6-0. Panther JV also defeated Richland 18-1 Thursday night. Both squads are 3-0 and undefeated in district play.


Varsity also defeated Arlington Lamar on Friday night 13-6. It was an outstanding day for all players, with the girls sweeping all of their singles matches. Panther tennis is 5-1 overall for the year and plays Denton HS this week.
