West Point El. Parent Update
Week of December 5, 2022
Dear West Point Families,
Happy December and welcome to winter! We appreciate your patience with the snow and late starts this past week. We hope you enjoyed some holiday fun over the weekend.
Here are three important things to know for the coming week:
- We would like to thank Shauna Brown for taking over as our new PTA President for the year.
- Our West Point Elementary Choir Concert is this Thursday, December 8. We will have two performances based on last names (6:00 p.m. for A-M and 7:15 p.m. for N-Z). Please see additional information below.
- Our Student Council holiday fundraiser is this week. We are raising funds for Toys for Tots and are holding a grade-level competition. You can donate through the Davis Gives link below or send cash in an envelope to your child's teacher. Please see additional information below. Thank you for your support!
Every day is a great day to be a Wildcat!
Sincerely,
Marjorie Conrad and Michelle Yoho
Principal and Assistant Principal, West Point Elementary

Message from Syracuse High School
With this week's snow, we anticipate people looking forward to sledding on our hill here at Syracuse High School. We wanted to remind everyone that sledding on school property is prohibited. Growth tarps have also been placed on the entire field at the base of the hill to encourage the regrowth of grass in that area. We need to keep those tarps in place until springtime. The tarps also pose a safety hazard to people who would sled down the hill. A safety barrier has been placed at the base of the hill to prevent any sledding on the hill.
Thank you for your cooperation,
