Who: Teachers and leaders from Washtenaw and Livingston counties who are interested in an initial understanding of Assessment Literacy and how it can improve teaching and learning in their classrooms and schools.

Important Details:
This four day training is divided into two parts. Days 1 and 2 will introduce the foundational understandings of Assessment Literacy with an overview of the 5 Keys to Quality Classroom Assessment. Days 3 and 4 will be spent applying our learning from days 1 and 2 to our own classroom practices. All interested teachers/leaders must attend days 1 and 2. Days 3 and 4 are required for teachers who have no other colleagues trained in their buildings, but are open to anyone who would like additional time and support in applying this learning to their practice.
Teachers who are the first in their buildings to participate in Assessment Literacy Training will also continue with monthly support meetings at WISD/LESA.

Beginning the work! Applying our learning to our own teaching while deepening our understanding of the purpose of assessment & the targets to be assessed
