2022 Food & Fun Fair Thank You!
Well, we made it to the Fair finish line, and it turned out to be an outstanding day (despite the odd morning shower!).
What struck me most was the fun sense of community that the PTA worked so hard to deliver. Among the stalls, activities and amazing food, it was great to see so many happy faces from students and families past and present.
The Fair is a major undertaking, and I want to personally acknowledge the whole school community for their help and support. Not only did we receive so many generous donations, but many of the last minute vacancies were filled in the nick of time last week!
Special thanks go to the PTA Leadership Team, led by Aimee, and the Fair Team, coordinated by Pam. A project like this has such a significant impact, but it is also a huge commitment that is greatly appreciated.
We were extremely fortunate to have a core team of such dedicated volunteers who spent days, weeks (months, even) sorting, organising and preparing for stalls and events, and we're truly grateful for their efforts. I'm sure you'll agree that the results spoke for themselves on the day.
Last but not least, I would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and local businesses who supported our school during such challenging economic times.
Y4-6 Athletics Update
While we were looking forward to the rescheduled Athletics tomorrow, unfortunately the weather has turned, which once again prevents us from going ahead. Monday is also not a viable option.
As a contingency, however, we are pressing on and currently running limited trials to determine our zones team before the Interschool event next Tuesday (informed by teacher assessments during training).
Disappointing as it may be for all concerned, I'm sure everyone appreciates that this is due to factors outside our control. Ultimately, the children's safety and wellbeing in the weather (and field conditions) is the overriding priority.

Food & Fun Fair 2022 - well done
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
It was great to see you all on Sunday enjoying the fun, food and second hand stalls. Thank you to the many stall coordinators who helped in the leading weeks as well as on the day. Thank you also to all the families that filled cake boxes, lolly and lucky jars and signed up for a time slot on Sunday.
Thank you to the amazing MENPS teaching and support staff, for their help on Sunday and leading up to the Fair: what awesome support! It was a massive day and we are beyond grateful!
Thank you also to the incredible business community supporting us and donating auction items, prizes, food, sponsorship or pitched in with their time on the day. Please show them love by supporting them when you are out and about.
And last, but definitely not least, thank you to the PTA who were behind it all. What an amazing bunch of hardworking people, and what a privilege it was to get to know everyone. Many put in long hours (and their own resources) - not just on the day but in the months leading up to the event. This exceptional bunch of people go above and beyond to make this event a success. We are so grateful and lucky that you give your passion, time and energy.
As we look ahead to the next fair, to get us back to the favoured start of year time slot, our next fair will be in 2024.
Nga mihi nui,
Pam - Fair Manager

PTA roles in 2023
We want you to join our team! We need help filling a few roles - please email us at menpspta@gmail.com to nominate yourself for any of the following:
- Chairperson - Our amazing chairperson Aimee is moving into a new role focusing on Sponsorship for PTA events in 2023. We need a new parent/caregiver to bring their enthusiasm and energy to the role as we look ahead to a year of smaller events.
The Chairperson is responsible for making sure that each meeting is planned effectively, conducted according to the constitution and that matters are dealt with in an orderly, efficient manner. The Chairperson makes the most of the committee members, building and leading the team. - Secretary - Many thanks to Jane for her time in the secretarial role alongside her immense fair duties. In 2023 Jane will be helping with the second hand uniform shop so we need a hero with a flair for admin to take on this role.
The two main jobs of the secretary are to keep the official records of meetings through the minutes and to deal with all correspondence via gmail inbox.
The secretary must have an excellent knowledge of Google tools, able to attend every PTA meeting, and have sufficient time to deal with a very busy inbox.
We will aim to appoint new PTA members to these roles at the next PTA meeting on November 29th and outline any further new roles the team might need.

Support our school by eating a delicious Roast at The Bridgman.
Seems too easy but $10 of every kids meal goes directly to our school funds. All you need to do is book your table and put MENPS into the ‘requests’ box and they will donate the profits of your kids meals back to the school.
Easy right?
Just book here - The Bridgman | Corner of Dominion & Valley Roads | Carefully curated food, drinks & cocktails.
The Bridgman are also generously running a food stall at the upcoming Food & Fun Fair.
