Counselor's Corner-Mrs. Manges
- Hope Squad- Our Hope Squad is up and running. Students are getting training on things like watching for signs of suicidal behavior, how to talk to a student, and get them to talk to an adult, and more. We have had some referrals that have resulted in appropriate interventions.
- Anger Management-This will be a small group intervention to help students work on recognizing triggers to their anger and using coping skills to handle their anger. It will be an 8 week group that will meet weekly.
- Ryan's Place-This is a center for grieving teens located in Goshen. Grief counselors come to JJHS to hold a small group sessions. This will be beginning the first week of February. Contact Mrs. Manges for more information.
- 21st Century Scholars: ALL 7th and 8th grade students should apply. Students can only apply in middle school. There is an income requirement, but apply regardless. It doesn't take much time and could pay off in the future. Deadline is June 30th. Go online to scholartrack.in.gov

During this season of Covid, Influenza & all other germs:
-ALL symptoms matter!
-Please be diligent in keeping sick kids home
-If in doubt keep the student home, and call the school to speak with the nurse
