Good quality toys were expensive for pioneer’s.

Many toys were handmade, those were the toys were what most kids had.
The few store bought toys such as board games and doll houses were very expensive for pioneers.
Fathers bought doll houses for there daughters as a sign of there wealth to other people.

If pioneer children didn't have toys, they always had their imagination.

Pioneer children used there imagination quite a bit. They used them when they were board or sad.
parents, blacksmiths, etc.
They could do role play for hours on end with out stop.
They liked to do role play with there imagination and pretend they were

One last thing That I learned
Statement
Pioneers knew how to pass time on the long trail.
Support
For fun on the trail pioneers sang tunes with there family to pass the time during the day.
At night on the trail kids would play tag, jump rope, etc, with other children on the wagon train. The night is the only time you can really play fun games.
Adults would sometimes even play tag and other games with the kids, It was a way for the adults to have there share of fun.
