Top Dogs at DHE for this week
Mr. Scotty Kujath
Hello! My name is Scotty Kujath. This is my first year teaching and I am so lucky to be at Harrison! I just recently graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Before moving to Missouri I lived in Bayfield, Colorado. I have 6 people in my family: 3 brothers and 2 incredible parents. I am a huge fan of all sports, but especially love the Denver Broncos! Some things I like to do in my free time are to read, spend time with friends, and stay active playing any and all sports.
Mrs. Susan Trotter
I am a 6th generation Greene county native, and attended Springfield Public Schools for my entire school career! I am one of seven children, so I have a large extended family! I have been married to Ed Trotter since 1988, and we have lived in Springfield the entire time! Since 1986, Ed has been a large-animal Senior Territory Manager with Zoetis Animal Health. We have two beautiful daughters, Mary and Amanda. Mary is a single mom, who has a BFA in Art, and is attending Missouri State to finish a Science degree. Amanda is a junior (Pre-Vet) at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Our granddaughter, Emory is 10 months old. Both she and her mom, Mary, live with us! I love being Emory’s “Gramie”, and can’t wait to get home to her each night! When not at school, my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family! We love vacationing in our R.V., four-wheeling in our jeep, white-water rafting, and snow skiing!
The 2015-2016 school year is my 4th year of teaching at David Harrison Elementary and my 11th year of teaching for Springfield Public Schools. I have also taught for Drury University’s Pre-College Gifted Program (Quest) for the past eleven summers! I received my Master’s in Elementary Education from Drury University. I hold certification in Elementary Grades 1-6, Preschool-Grade 3, Gifted Education K-12, Library Media Specialist K-12, and eMINTS. Before coming to D.H.E., I taught at Weaver Elementary, and Cowden Elementary. Prior to teaching, I earned my Bachelor of Science from Missouri State University (SMSU). I was a cost accountant for Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company for 16 years.
Mr. Charlie Rowell
I grew up in Connecticut with two brothers and two sisters. I joined the Coast Guard after graduating high school and spent the next 20 years traveling the world. Springfield has been my home since 2008, I moved here after I decided to become a teacher. This is the only time in my life I have not lived within twenty miles of the ocean. Currently I spend my spare time riding bicycles, hiking with my dogs, reading about new technology and taking care of my two tortoises.
