Student Lighthouse Team for Students in Grades 3-5
Labrador Families,
As you know, we are committed to empowering your child and helping every student find their voice so they can become leaders. In an effort to take student empowerment to an even higher level, we are seeking interested students for our 2022-23 Student Lighthouse Team! Our goal is to have student representatives from the 3rd-5th grade level with the intention to offer the primary grades and opportunity later in the school year. We would like to have a team in place by the beginning of Trimester 2.
The Student Lighthouse Team is a group of students in our school who synergize to have a positive impact on students, staff, families, and communities. SLT often sponsors family learning events and initiatives, school beautification efforts, emotional environment campaigns, and community service projects. They also expand student leadership roles, create student input systems, plan for schoolwide and community events, and maintain our school wide scoreboards.
Successful SLT Members;
Are dependable, reliable, and respectful
Complete classwork and homework assignments on time
Possess a strong work ethic
Independent self starter
Demonstrate exemplary conduct and citizenship in and out of school
Have excellent attendance (are on time with limited absences and early check outs)
Demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills
May be comfortable with public speaking
Have the willingness to teach and or demonstrate the 7 Habits to other students
Will be able to attend SLT meetings after school
If your child possesses the successful habits listed above and are interested in this leadership role, please have them apply for the position. Applications will be available on October 24th and will be posted in the MPR on the Leadership Jobs Application Board.

Missoula Children’s Theater Week: March 20-25, 2023
Every labrador will have the opportunity to audition to be a part of the production. We have space for 60 student participants. Please note that rehearsals will take place daily after school, for our about 4 hours, with a production on both Friday and Saturday.
Are you a theater buff? A star stage parent? We are looking for someone to chair the event. This would include organizing sign ups, auditions, rehearsals and performances. General volunteers will be needed as well! We will also be looking for families to host our two guest artists. Hosting would include providing lodging in a single bedroom (private-space) and may include meals – the guests love to immerse themselves with the hosting families. For more information about leading the committee, being on the committee or hosting a guest artist, email us at LawrencePTOPrez@gmail.com
