The Bobcat Bulletin
November 21, 2021
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Bobcats,
We are heading into our last two days of school before a well-deserved Thanksgiving Break. Tomorrow is the last day of our canned food drive - clean out those pantries! Our Turkey Trot returns on Tuesday. It will be sunny, but it will also be quite chilly. Please remind your student to wear layers, and be ready to go outside - this is an all school event!!
On that note, we have started eating lunch indoors again, but as long as the temperature is above 10 degrees, we will go outside for recess. Even though they don't like to admit it - middle schoolers do get cold and it is important that they bring appropriate clothing to be outside. We are starting to use our lockers to store coats and hats, so your child can even leave their coat here during the week (everything goes home every Friday). If you need assistance with getting appropriate winter clothing for your child, please reach out to me or Laura Gourlay (lgourlay@conval.edu) -- we can help!
In case you missed it - here is this month's Nurse's Newsletter
I wish you all a wonderful, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving!
Be well,
Mrs. Foecking

PTO Updates!
Thank you to everyone who supported the most recent Fundraiser. Together, we raised close to $800! The PTO has used funds so far to purchase recess equipment such as volleyballs, footballs, and four-square balls. They also purchased sleds from Edmunds Hardware Store, who were gracious enough to sell them at cost!! A huge shout out to Rick for his generosity.
The PTO meets every third Wednesday. Please be part of the fun and support GBS. The next meeting is at 6:00pm on Wednesday January 19th.
